About the co-founders?

Quentin’s experience of renovating several houses himself over more than 10 years gave him the idea of creating this platform. He realised that, at the end of a project, a lot of surplus materials could be recovered and reused, not only for economic reasons but also for environmental purposes. So he asked his friend Gaëtan, an experienced IT project manager and entrepreneur, to help him turn the idea into a reality! They both come from the Mons region.

What is this marketplace about?

The Baticlick platform offers several services to promote sustainability. First, it offers a marketplace where you can sell or buy new or used materials. Our goal is to ensure that these materials can be reused to avoid waste. This is a powerful step towards reducing our ecological footprint. The platform also provides personalised support to help you integrate eco-friendly practices into your projects (sale of reusable materials, training courses, etc.). Through workshops and training courses, it also offers practical and fun sessions to raise awareness of environmental issues among your teams and partners. Green communication (‘eco-communication’) is also part of the services offered by Baticlick. This allows you to promote your sustainable commitments through eco-friendly digital content and media. Finally, Baticlick offers three eco-packs (Basic, Standard & Premium) to support your ecological transition. 

A project driven via a non-profit association and focused on tackling environmental issues in the construction sector 

This platform is managed by a non-profit association (ASBL). Its main ethical objective is to promote sustainability in the construction sector, which often has an image that is not very respectful of the environment. As a result, the association and its founders have developed an assessment system to determine the degree of eco-responsibility of service providers and vendors. For example, offering second-hand materials instead of throwing them away or buying new ones is unquestionably better for the environment.
