About the co-founders?

Quentin’s experience of renovating several houses himself over more than 10 years gave him the idea of creating this platform. He realised that, at the end of a project, a lot of surplus materials could be recovered and reused, not only economically but also environmentally. So he asked his friend Gaëtan, an experienced IT project manager and entrepreneur, to help him turn the idea into a reality! They both come from the Mons region.

What is this marketplace about ?

This platform has three components. The first involves the sale of new and second-hand materials. The aim is to offer private individuals a place where they can sell their surplus materials, rather than throwing them away. The second part involves hiring out machines and/or tools between private individuals and between private individuals and professionals. Hiring out equipment makes perfect sense in a difficult economic climate. And why travel many kilometres when you can hire a machine and/or tool from a neighbour or someone in your area? The third part involves drawing up quotations. Our aim is to put private individuals in touch with professionals. Our regions are full of qualified companies and competent professionals. So our aim is to save time for individuals and professionals alike.

A project driven via a non-profit association and focused on tackling environmental issues in the construction sector !

This platform is managed by a non-profit association (ASBL). Its main ethical objective is to promote sustainability in the construction sector, which often has an image that is not very respectful of the environment. As a result, the association and its founders have developed an assessment system to determine the degree of eco-responsibility of service providers and vendors. For example, offering second-hand materials instead of throwing them away or buying new ones is unquestionably better for the environment. In the same way, a solar panel installer offering his services has a perfect place on this type of platform.
