About the co-founders?

Quentin’s experience of renovating several houses himself over more than 10 years gave him the idea of creating this platform. He realised that, at the end of a project, a lot of surplus materials could be recovered and reused, not only for economic reasons but also for environmental purposes. So he asked his friend Gaëtan, an experienced IT project manager and entrepreneur, to help him turn the idea into reality! They are both from the Mons region.

What is this marketplace all about?

The Baticlick platform offers several services to promote sustainability. Firstly, it provides a marketplace where you can sell or buy new or second-hand materials. Our aim is to ensure that these materials can be reused to prevent waste. This is a significant step towards reducing our ecological footprint. The platform also provides personalised support to help you integrate eco-friendly practices into your projects (sale of reusable materials, training courses, etc.). Through workshops and training courses, it also offers practical and engaging sessions to raise awareness of environmental issues amongst your teams and partners. Green communication (‘eco-communication’) is also part of the services offered by Baticlick. This enables you to promote your sustainability commitments through eco-friendly digital content and media. Finally, Baticlick offers three eco-packs (Basic, Standard and Premium) to support your ecological transition. 

A project run by a non-profit organisation and focused on tackling environmental issues in the construction sector 

This platform is run by a non-profit association (ASBL). Its main ethical objective is to promote sustainability in the construction sector, which is often perceived as not being very environmentally friendly. Consequently, the association and its founders have developed an assessment system to determine the level of environmental responsibility of service providers and suppliers. For example, offering second-hand materials instead of throwing them away or buying new ones is undoubtedly better for the environment.
